Steam Jacketed Kettles
TUCS Cook kettles are ideal for cooking a broad range of products. The unique horizontal agitator provides heat transfer, surface scraping, complete mixing of ingredients, and uniform suspension of solids during product transfer. The lower cylinder is steam jacketed and can be cold water cooled, or heated with hot oil for a higher operating temperature range. They are available as stationary or tilting models.
Horizontal pack and mixing tanks
TUCS mixing and holding tanks are ideal for mixing, blending and holding at pack temperatures, a broad range of products. The horizontal agitator provides complete mixing of ingredients in uniform suspension of solids during product transfer and packaging. They are compact, mobile when equipped with casters and easy to clean between batches.
Cone bottom hoppers (with or without agitators)
TUCS ingredient and product feed hoppers can be used to hold and gravity feed, high viscosity liquids and dry ingredients, prior to processing and packaging. They can be equipped with agitation to maintain consistency, homogeneity or uniform suspension of solids.
Volumetric piston transfer pumps
These pneumatically operated and controlled pumps are extremely accurate and designed to deliver a range of fills from less than one ounce to six quarts at speeds from ten to over 60 cycles per minute. They are very compact, mobile and can be controlled by footswitch or built-in air logic. No motor or electric power is required. They can be hosed down.
Air operated pump fill stations
These simple, manual transfer casing fill and clip station is ideal for Cook-Chill Systems and smaller refrigerated food processors. Totally air operated, it incorporates the TUCS piston pump, foot activated switch, and air operated product fill valve and nozzle. A casing, clipper or pouch, heat sealer is mounted to the unit. They are designed for water wash down and in-sink cleaning of all loose parts, and caster-mounted for mobility.
Multi-pump rack depositing systems
Multiple pumps can be teamed with multiple depositing filler heads to meet the speed and throughput requirements of the filling or depositing line. The legendary accuracy of the TUCS piston pump ensures an accurate fill weight or volume every time.
Vertical Form Fill systems
TUCS is known for the VFFS machines, which are unmatched in the industry for their accuracy, very fast product and film changeovers, flexibility and ease of use. The integrated PLC driven control package is very user friendly. TUCS VFFS units are very compact with an available hinge-out control panel and heavy-duty casters for mobility. A TUCS Piston Pump can be frame mounted below the VFFS, for even more space savings and faster setup.
Tray, Tub & bottling fill lines
TUCS can custom design filling lines to meet your product volume and special container requirements. Teamed with one or more TUCS volumetric piston pumps, multiple pneumatic nozzles can dispense product into a variety of containers without drips or splatter.
Linnear rapid cooling and chilling systems
TUCS linear chillers are a unique approach to water bath chilling, with the flexibility to handle clipped casings, heat sealed pouches, and film-sealed tubs of all sizes. Air agitation provides gentle package movement and uniform chilling. Direct-coupled refrigeration provides efficient cooling or chilling. These horizontal tanks are sized by length and can be single or double or triple banked for more chilling capacity and simultaneous multi-batch cooling. Loading and unloading conveyors reduce handling and help ensure uniform chilling.
Batch chilling tanks
TUCS Batch Chilling Tanks are an economical option for small to medium volume chilling or pouched- packaged product. These tanks include air agitation for gentle uniform chilling and employ a direct-coupled refrigeration system with dual evaporators.
Combination cook chilling tanks
TUCS offers Cook-Chill operators a small batch unit combines hot water bath cooking and cold water cooling of solid muscle meats; plus cold water bath chilling of hot-fill casings are pouches. This stainless steel tank has its own PLC driven control package., air bubbler for gentle and uniform chilling or cooking. Multi-function capability, safe space and has lower first cost for smaller operators.
Conveyors
TUCS custom fabricates products and product packaging conveyors designed to automate filling lines and product chilling operations. Conveyors can be supplied for handling casings, pouches, cups, balls, plastic tubs, bottles and jars. Lift conveyors, cleated conveyors and conveyors for metal detector inspections can be provided, as needed.
Ancillary process support equipment
TUCS provides custom designed accumulators, rotary unscramblers and landing tables to complete packaging and chilling lines. Heat sealers for bags, trays and tubs; de-nesters, lid appliers for tubs, cappers for jars; and metal detectors…all the subsystems that keep a packaging humming. TUCS can also size and package compressed air systems and provide steam boilers if needed for product cooking and heating.
Packaging film and pre-formed pouches
TUCS is an economical source for a high barrier frees to buy all packaging films used by vertical form fill seal systems. These roll films are available in a variety of popular widths and mill thickness, ideal for most product applications. TUCS supplied films are guaranteed to perform reliably with TUCS VFFS machines. We can also supply preformed pouches for manual filling and heat sealing.

TUCS supplies complete cook-chill central commissary production systems and key components to commercial and institutional foodservice operators. We can size and help specify batch cookers, pump/ fill stations and/or Vertical Form-Fill Seal machines, water bath casing coolers, cook tanks and supporting systems ideal for producing from 250 to 100,000 meals per day. Our Cook-Chill team includes food service Veterans that really understand operator needs custom fabrication.
Custom fabrication
Need a special part or component fabricated. The TUCS plant includes a very sophisticated machine tool to department with state-of-the-art CNC driven milling equipment and craftsman with hundreds of combined years of machine shop experience. While our priority is to support TUCS equipment fabrication, the machine shop loves a fresh challenge.
